There is a question going on in my class. This question is. Should people cut down kapok trees. Now you will now why I said no.
First, a kapok tree is a big home for a lot of animals. If you cut it it will destroy their home. If you do not want to that to happen DO NOT CUT IT DOWN!!! So the creatures will not have to find another home.
Second, trees make oxygen. Without oxygen no one will be able to survive. The leaves clean the air so we can breath. A kapok tree is a big tree so it has a lot of leaves so it cleans more air. If you cut down kapok trees there will be less oxygen. If you do not want that to happen DO NOT CUT IT DOWN!!! So that will not happen.
Third, Kapok trees can make fruit. So people, and animals can eat. With no food you cannot survive. That is how you get fruit. If you cut it down there will be less fruit. If you do not want that to happen DO NOT CUT IT DOWN!!! So their will be more fruit.
Fourth, Trees are good for water. When the rain comes trees will get the water, and it will fall from leaf, to leaf. When it gets to the last leaf an animal could be waiting so it will not drink from the dirty ground it will drink, instead it gets to its mouth. If their would not be any kapok trees, the animals would have to drink from the dirty ground , they could get sick. If you do not want that to happen DO NOT CUT IT DOWN!!! So the animals can be healthy.
Fifth, kapok trees are beautiful. So the rain forest can be very beautiful. People would like to visit rain forests that is beautiful. If you cut them down, there would be no beauty, and people would not visit rain forests. If you do not want that to happen DO NOT CUT IT DOWN!!! So people will visit rain forests, and each rainforest will be beautiful.
What do you think? Yes, or no?
P.S. I did both.

If you did both, how am I supposed to know which one you truly believe!
You did a great job taking on both perspectives of the issue and writing compelling arguments…now I don’t know what to believe!
Great timing with Tu B’Shevat! Keep on blogging!
I really think that people should not cut down kapok trees, but I found reasons for both.
Yoni,
You did a nice job making arguments on both sides. I’m glad to know that your real feelings are to protect them. I also was impressed that you turned it into a 5 paragraph essay.
I think no ,do not cut down kapok trees because there’re many resins for it to live.
