My Best Post

This week we were assigned to do a blog post about our best post since Febuary.  I chose as my Sience Lab!  I had chose this post, because I had many links a few pictures, my post was interesting, and my links were very interesting.  If you want to see my post then I will show it.

Science Lab!

Today, we went to the science lab.  We were talking about the rock cycle.  There are 5, really 3, but two of them are melted rock, here are the types of rocks igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic, magma, and lava.  My guess how old is Earth is about 10.8 billion years old.  The time rocks came on Earth was 10.6 billion years ago.  The universe is about 15.7 billion years old.  G-D lived forever, so G-D is the Crazy Number years old (the biggest number) (a number I made up.)  Some rocks are very old.  The rock cycle starts as a volcano eruption, then the lava turns to igneous rocks, then igneous rocks turn to sediment, then sediment turn to sedimentary rocks, then sedimentary rocks turn to metamorphic rocks, then metamorphic rocks turn to magma, then comes a volcano eruption, then the lava turns to igneous rocks, then igneous turns to sediment, then sediment turns to sedimentary rocks, then sedimentary rocks turn to metamorphic rocks, then metamorphic rocks turns to magma, then the cycle goes again and again.  In the science lab, we made the weirdest igneous rocks ever, the rocks looked like vegetable Barth.  That was it about the science lab.  :-)

Did you like the post?  I did.  My post was about rocks, so that was why the post was talking about rocks, and volcanoes.  Now you know even more about the rock cycle, volcanic eruptions, and how all the types of rocks form.

Hello everyone, here is the new president Ella.  She is one year old and she is very responsible.  She will make joy for the United States of America.  In fact she is a Double joy,  joy.  She is very cute.  Here is why you will be so happy that she is president.

She is the teacher and principal of Ella School (ES.)  She takes you to any sport game you want and anywhere you want more than twice a day and when there is nothing to do, we get free time inside or outside whatever you want.  She is also a cute baby.  It is cool that a baby teaches a school.  She says cute words, such as e-da, e-sa?, e-se?, e-da?, e-sa, e-se.  When she spins around, she says chu-se chu-se, cha-se cha-se cha-se.

Ella teaches baby languages, such as e-da, e-sa? e-se?, e-da?, e-sa, e-se, chu-se chu-se, cha-se cha-se cha-se, hee hee hee hee hee,  Waaa!  Waaa!  She also teaches how to play, such as tag, freeze tag, Chinese freeze tag, hide and seek tag, hide and seek, cheese touch, the cooties, and peek-a-boo.

Ella is very nice, when she is playing with a toy, she some time gives it to me, because she is so nice.  Sometimes, she lets you go in front of her, because she is so kind.  Even sometime, she will help you with your chores, can’t you believe that?

Ella, respects others, she knows that good things will happen when she is respectful.  If you respect her, she will respect you back, but if you are not respectful to her, she will not be respectful back to you, so you want to be respectful to her.  You actually should be respectful to everyone, too.  If you will be respectful to someone, he or she will respect you back, but if you are not respectful to someone, he or she will not be respectful to you.  Being respectful is very important in life.

Ella is very smart, she say some words in English, some words in Hebrew, and some words in Russian.  The English word is peek-a-boo.  The words in Hebrew are אמא, אבא, מה זה.  The Russian word she says is Da.

I told you that you would be happy that she is the president of the United States of America.  She is actually my baby sister.  Ella likes to make jokes.  Bye!

This Post Is going to be my 50th post I have done.

I want to get 60 posts by the end of the year, because

Steven Stamkos (A National Hockey Player In The

Tampa Bay Lightning) and he has 60 goals this season

and he scored the most goals this hockey season.  I so

far have the most posts in my class.  The people that

have the second most in my class are Zoe and

Zachary, they have 41 posts.

I have 7 weeks left in school, but Our class is not

assigned much posts anymore, but I will find creative

posts that I can do.

P.S.  My favorite hockey team is the San Jose Sharks.

My second favorite team is the Edmonton Oilers.  My

third favorite team is the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Two days ago, we went to the science lab. Our science teacher’s name is Mrs. Burkhart. She has been the science teacher for a long time. We learned that people can conduct electricity. People can conduct, because we have cells from salt water. Salt water can conduct electricity. We are not the best conductors of electricity. The best conductor of electricity is metal, iron copper, and steel.

We used things to see if it was electricity, such as a nail, straws, a diode, a wooden stick, copper strip, glass rod, rubber eraser, paperclip, and a bag. The one’s that were conductors were the nail, the paper clip, the diode only worked one side the other did not, and the copper strip.  The things that were isolators were the straws, the glass rod, the rubber eraser, the wooden stick, and the bag.  We could tell of it was a conductor, because we had alligator clips that were connected with a wire which was also connected to a battery.  When something was clipped, you hold both sides of the battery.

At the end we were playing with the plasma ball.  A plasma ball has plasma electricity in it.  When you touch the ball, a plasma ray points to you, because we are conductors of electricity.  Plasma rays have different colors.  The colors are different, because of the gases.

P.S.  There is more chances to win a lottery than getting struck by lightning.

P.S 2.  There is a little bit of metal in cereal and cheerios, but cereal and cheerios are very healthy, because they have a little bit of metal inside them.  The metal is actually good for you.

P.S. 3.   There were three groups my group was me, Elior, Zachary, and Itamar.  The second group was Rebecca, Evie, Zoe, and Jamie.  The third group was Ben, and Liam.

Jim Thorpe’s Native American Name Was Wa-Tho-Huk=Bright Path.  He Was Born May 28, 1888 And His Death Was On March 28, 1953.  He Was A Native American.  He Won The Gold Medals In The Olympics For Pentathlon And Decathlon.  Pentathlon Means Five (5) Different Events.  It Comes From Greek.  Pente Means Five [5] And -Athlon Means Competition.  Decathlon Means Ten {10} Different Track And Field Events.  Decathlon Is Also Comes From Greek.  From Deka Means Ten (10) And –Athlon Means Competition.  His Gold Medals Were Stolen, Because They Found Out That Jim Thorpe Plays Baseball And He Got Paid.  You Were Not Allowed To Get Paid.  30 Years After Jim Was Dead, They Gave Back His Medals.  Jim Live In Sac And Fox Nation In Oklahoma.  Thorpe Was Trying To Live, Because He Had No Money.  He Was Alcoholic.  He Had Bad Health And Was Very Poor.  This Happened To Jim, Because He Had No Job And When You Are Alcoholic You Waste You’re Money On Alcohol, Such As Beer, Wine, And Vodka.  So You Waste Money To Kill Your Self.  Jim Thorpe Was The Greatest Athlete In The 20th Century.  People Thought He Was Even More Famous Than Muhammad Ali.  Jim Thorpe Did Not Have A Birth Certificate.  It Is Important That Jim Thorpe Made Harvard The Best Football Team, Carlisle Were The Winners Of The National Collegiate Championship Largely As A Result Of His Efforts.  Jim Thorpe Scored 25 Touchdowns And 198 Points During The Season.  The Reason This Is Important, Because This Is What He Accomplished And This Is Part Of His History.  Jim Won The All-American Honors Award In 1911 And Also In 1912.  Jim Thorpe Was More Famous At Track And Field Events Than Any Other Sport He Played.  Jim Thorpe Was Training For The Olympics, Such As The Fifty-Six [56] Pound Weight, Discus, The Javelin, Pole Vault, The Hurdles And The Shot- Put, And Jumps.  In The 1912 Summer Olympics, At Sweden, He Did Long Jump, The Javelin Throw, 200 Meter Dash, And 1,500-Meter Run.  It Is Important That Jim Thorpe Can Run The 100 Meter Dash In 10 Seconds Flat, The 220 In 21.8 Seconds, The 440 In 51.8, The 880 In 4:35, 120-Yard Hurdles In 15 Seconds, The 220-Yard Low Hurdles In 24 Seconds, The Long Jump 23 Feet And 6 Inches, The High Jump 6 Feet And 5 Inches, The Pole Vault 11 Feet, Put The Shot 47 Feet 9 Inches, Throw The Javelin 163 Feet, And Throw The Discus 136 Feet.  This Is Important, Because This Is When He Was In The Olympics And He Was Very Famous For This.  No One Has Ever beat His Record In Decathlon For Twenty Years.  He Had 8,413 Points.  He Had Defeated Wieslander By Even More Than 700 Points.  King Gustav V Of Sweden And Emperor Czar Nicholas II Of The Russian Empire Told Jim Thorpe That He Was The Greatest Athlete In The World.

Paragraph 2:

Some People Say That They Took His Gold Medals, Because He Was Native American. Jim Is Still Known Today, Because He Was One Of The Most Famous Native American That Played A Sport.  Jim Thorpe’s Father Was Chief Louis Vieux.  So, Jim Was Not Just A Native American, He Is Like A Special Native American.  Jim Thorpe Went To Sac And Fox Indian Agency School In Stroud.  In This School The People That Worked There Were Like Steeling His Life By Trying To Make Him Not Be A Native American.  On Some Days Jim Ran Away From School.  Hiram Thorpe Took Jim Thorpe To, An Indian Boarding School In Lawrence, Kansas, Because He Could Not Run Away From School.  A boarding School Is A School That You Live In.  Jim’s Mom Died.  Jim Was Very Sad.  When Jim Was About 9-11 Years Old, He Went To Boarding School.  When Jim Was Sixteen {16} Years Old, Jim Returned To His Father.  Jim Went Away From School Again.  They Had Striped Thorpe’s Olympic Titles, Medals, And Awards.  Jim Was Trying To Get Money For His Family.  He Could Not Have A Sports Job.  The Worst Years Happened To Jim, He Had No Money!  In The 1953 Jim Thorpe Died, In Lomita California, From A Heart Failure.  Jim Thorpe Grew Up In A Native American Territory.  When Jim Thorpe Got Older, He Asked For His Olympic Titles, Medals, Trophies, Certificates, And Awards Back.  He Also Said That He Did Not Know That You Were Not Allowed To Be Paid.  The People Said “Ignorance Is No Excuse.”  President Richard Nixon Invented A Jim Thorpe Day In 1973.  Patricia {Jim Thorpe’s Wife} Was Mad, Because The Government Of Oklahoma Would Not Make A Memorial To Honor Jim Thorpe.  Later He Was Buried Jim Thorpe In Native American Territory.  Jim Thorpe’s Son’s Name Was Jack.

Hyper Linking

Today, Mrs.  Tolisano came to our classroom, because Mrs.  Teitelbaum was not at class, she was at Emily’s model Seder.  Our class made a paragraph.

This is the paragraph:

Title: We Surf The Globe

On our blogs, we embedded a Clustr map.  A cluster map is a map on your blog, that shows you the location of the visitors of your blog.  The map helps us visualize where our readers are from.  We have been surfing the virtual globe to countries all around the world, such as Thailand, Switzerland, and Czech Republic, because we know that they have read our posts.

That was the paragraph.

Yesterday, I had the best swim practice ever, because there is two groups in the hammerheads.  The early group starts at 4:30 and ends at 6:00.  The late group starts at 6:00 and ends at 7:30.  I am in the late group.  A few swim races ago, we had to see which group had more volunteers.  The late group did.  Yesterday, the first thing we did was running around the campus.  Second, we played a few games of dodge ball and I was the ultimate catcher.  Third, we went to the pool and we did eight 25 yards.  The odd ones were dolphin dives and the even ones were boat sculling.  Fourth, we did six 25s yards freestyle sprints.  Fifth, we did a four hundred yards kick.  Sixth, we did running dives races.  In the races, there was three lines, so three people went at a time.  I won all of them.  The first dive was to dive and swim to the other end.  Which I won.  The second dive was streamline and kick to the other end.  Which I won.  The third dive was streamline and kick on our side.  Which I won.  The last dive was to dive and streamline before you reached the surface, when you got to the surface, you swim to the other end.  Which I won.  Seventh, we played Sharks ‘n Minos in the water.  Eighth, we did kicking relays.  Ninth, we did three birthday swims.  A birthday swim is when someone does 50 yards Butterfly and everyone has to splash him, or her as much as we can.  The first birthday swim was Emily.  The second birthday swim was Rachel.  The last birthday swim was Malcolm.  All the time after a birthday swim, I splash them while the’re swimming and sometimes, I splash them when they are done.  Last, Malcolm brought cookies.  You could get one cookie, a chocolate chip chip cookie, or a sprinkled cookie.  I got a sprinkled cookie.  My brother got a sprinkled cookie too.  That was it about my swim practice.  Bye!  :-)

Last week, we did testing.  The tests were ITBS and CogAt.  On the first day, we did only ITBS.  On the second day we did ITBS and CogAt.  On the third day, we only did CogAt.  On the fourth day we finished CogAt and we did ITBS.  On the Last day, we finished ITBS.  ITBS is larger then CogAt.  I liked CogAt better then ITBS, because it was easier.  That is all I have to say about testing.  Bye!
