22 FebBiography of Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 17, 1707. He passed away on April 17, 1790. He lived to be eighty-three. Benjamin Franklin made many important contributions to the Colonies. He founded the Philadelphia’s first newspaper, first public library and, first hospital. He started the very first volunteer fire department in the thirteen colonies. Benjamin Franklin was important  in American history because he was the American ambassador to France, he signed the Declaration of Independence, and he invented useful items like the lightning rod, and bifocal glasses. Benjamin Franklin was Philadelphia’s most famous citizen because he was an inventor along with many other things. I think Benjamin Franklin would be amazed by all the new inventions that are here today. Out of all the inventions from the twenty-first century Ben Franklin would like the newest IPhone the most. He would like this because he would be able to call, text, email, or go on the internet and do so many other different things all in one small portable device.

Thank goodness Franklin invented the bifocals. I’d be out of luck without them!
Please make sure your proofread your work. Sometimes you leave out words in sentences; however your work is always fantastic.
    I love the picture.
