הכנסת אורחים

In Jewish Studies we are learning Parashat ( Vayera) וירא which is in the Torah.

אני למדתי מצוות הכנסת אורחים מאברהםה

Here is an example of הכנסת אורחים:
Sage comes over to my house. I say “Welcome to my house Sage!” Then I would ask her “What would you like to do? Then I would go with what she wants to do. If she wants to do something else then I will do what she wants to do. Like, if she wants to play with my toys then I will play with my toys with Sage. If she wants to play Hide and go seek, then we would play Hide and go seek. When she leaves I would s “Thank you for coming Sage! Please come any time soon!” Then,  I would give her a snack to go, and I would open the door for her and she would leave. The main part of the mizvah of הכנסת אורחים:

  1. You welcome you guest or geusts.
  2. You always go with they want to do.
  3. Make the person comfterable.
  4. When they leave say someting nice and give them a snack and open the door for him/her.

Remember this is a mizvah!

Great post Nahila! I think you gave great examples of the mitzvah and I love the way you included Hebrew in the post. Which other mitzvot do you enjoy doing? I think our family enjoys Shabbat the most.

    Keep blogging!
