In class we made a flag with the colors that represents us.

John Adams

In school we worked on a signature event. We researched on The founding of America and Israel. We each got a founding father or mother of America or Israel. I got John Adams after we finished researching then we put it into a video.

Then in art we made a Monochromatic panting of our person.

Darkness חושך

In Jewish Studies, we are leaning about the ten plagues. Right now, we are learning about the ninth plague, the plague of darkness.  Moses warns Pharaoh about the next plague but he does not heed his warning so Moses started the plague by raising his staff into the air. The plague lasted three  days, it is one of the three plagues that it states in the Torah how long it lasted but it says three days twice so Rashi says that it means that The first three days were of darkness and the last three days were of darker darkness where you could not see or move. The darkness was only in Egypt  not in Goshen where the Jews lived. If any of the Jews entered  Egypt, they would have light but the Egyptians would still not have light.Rashi said that during the days of darkness, the Jews went into the Egyptian’s Houses and looked for their jewelry. They did this so that when they left after the next plague, and asked the Egyptians for jewelry, they would kmow for sure if they were telling them the truth.  After the plague ended, God hardened Pharaoh’s heart and Pharaoh did not let the Jews go.

Imagine being blind. What do you think it feels like?

Grassshoper

In Jewish studies we are learning about the ten plagues. Right now we are learning about the 8th plague the plague of grasshoppers. Moses warns Pharaoh but  Pharaoh did not listen. But later some Egyptians came and told him to just let  them go so he called Moses back and said they could leave but then he asked Moses wait who is going? Moses said all of B’nai Israel and their animals but Pharaoh said only the men could.  But Moses would not go without the women and the children. Moses started the plague by raising his staff up in the air and a wind came from the east and brought grasshoppers. The grasshoppers  eat all of the crops in Egypt. Later Pharaoh called back Moses and said that if he stopped the plague he would let them go but when the plague stopped his heart hardened and he did not let them go.

The Frog’s Life Cycle

Hail

In Jewish Studies we are learning about the ten plagues. Right now we are learning about the 7th plague the plague of hail, but this was not normal hail it was also on fire without melting, showing that this was an act of god not just nature. This plague was just in Egypt not where the Jews lived witch is Goshen.  Moses started the plague by raising his hands. We think it lasted a month but we do not know for sure. Pharaoh told Moses that if  he stoped the plague then he would let them go so moses went outside to pray to stop the plague. rashi says that he went outside to pray because it would look like he was praying to an idol. so when the plague stoped  pharaoh’s heart  hardened and he did not let the Jews go.

What do you do during a hail storm?

Boils שחין

In Jewish studies we are learning about the ten plagues. Right now we are learning about the 6th plague the plague of boils. In this plague all the Egyptians and their animals had boils. We think that the plague lasted a month but no one knows. Moses started the plague by throwing ashs into the air. Pharaoh got super mad but this time God made his heart  harden to keep everything going. Rashi said that how are there any animals because they all died in the death of Dever, live stock.

What would you do if you had boils?

The death of the livestock מכת דבר

In Jewish studies we are learning about the ten plagues. Right now we are learning about the 5th plague. Which is  the death of livestock. In this plague Moses warns pharaoh and pharaoh does not listen and then all of the animals in Egypt died. Moses started this plague. We think it lasted a month but we do not know for sure.

Pharaoh was angry and told Moses that if he stoped the plague then he would let them go but when the plague ended  Pharaoh’s heart hardened and he did not let the Jews go.

Have you had/have a pet? If so how sad were/would if it died?

Adjectives

In General Studies we  had write down a noun and then go to the desk to the right of us and write an adjective that describes the noun at their desk. Once we had eight adjectives we had to write a poem with the adjectives that everyone gave our noun.
