My Favorite Season

My favorite season is fall. I love the cool breeze in the air and the emerald green leaves on the trees turn to golden orange like the sun. In late November we celebrate Thanksgiving. I love the way you can wear a sweater and feel comfortable.

I love how I can go to the park and I don’t get hot really quickly. When my dad and I rake leaves I adore the sound of the rough, crinkly leaves being raked into a mountain. When I look in the afternoon sky I love seeing how ocean blue the sky is.

On Thanksgiving the aroma of the turkey in the oven is so strong we have to open the windows. My mouth starts to water when I remember the sweet apple and creamy pumpkin pies my parents made the night before. On Thanksgiving morning I enjoy watching the Macy’s Day Parade. When all the floats go down the streets I try to find my favorite one. This is why fall is my favorite season.
