Holy in the Body, Mind, and Soul

Posted by on May 12, 2015

This week for my journal, I would like to explore a quote from this week’s parsha. “You shall be holy, for I, the L-rd your god, am holy.” This quote means a lot to me and has much inner meaning. This quote means that you should pure because God is pure and you were made in God’s image. You should he pure in the mind, body, and soul. I have a few examples that I have practiced myself. To be pure in the mind, I exercise it everyday by going to school and thinking positive thoughts. To be pure in my soul, I try to be kind as much as possible and not spread gossip. Finally, to be pure in the body, I am always active and eat healthy because a God gave me this body and I shouldn’t waste it. How do you feel about this quote? Share your thoughts below.
