Dedicated to Scott

Posted by on May 5, 2015

In a few weeks, we will be celebrating Shavuot which is the celebration of Matan Torah or the giving of the Torah. On Shavuot, we will remember Scott who was a devoted teacher of Torah. Scott is a great inspiration to me because he loved the Torah probably more than any of us will ever know. We didn’t know how much we loved Scott until he left the earth. I will always remember how patient he was with me whenever I was chanting my Haftorah to him. A few weeks ago, I listened to his CD and heard him chanting the Haftorah trope. It brought tears to me eyes. I have chosen a quote that represents Scott. Have a happy and thoughtful Shavuot.

The important thing is not so much that every child should be taught, as that every child should be given the wish to learn.
