Miracles Taken for Granted

We are soon to celebrate the Jewish holiday called Chanukah. Chanukah is all about miracles. I definitely believe in miracles because I see them everyday wether big or small. A miracle I have experienced in my life was being born. The gift of life is the largest miracle of all. Being given life has helped me understand other miracles that may not seem so big.

The rabbi Hillel taught that you should not separate ¬†yourself from the community. This relates to us giving gifts to under-privileged kids on Christmas because we are helping other people celebrate their holiday too and not just ours. Without¬†community, you couldn’t celebrate any of these holidays because you would be celebrating them with no one. That is why we must come together as a community the most on these holidays. Happy Chanukah!
