Integers are Easy

Posted by on April 2, 2014

This week, we learned about integers and it was very easy. Here is an example of an integer problem.

-3 – -6 =

All you have to do is keep the first number, change the subtraction symbol to an addition symbol, and and flip negative six to just six. Now it looks like:

-3 + 6 =3

When you add unlike signs, you subtract the numbers and take the sign of the biggest number. That is basically what we did the whole week and it was very easy. I hope that all math classes can be like this.
