Jumping into Algebra

Posted by on September 12, 2013

This week in math, we started working on algebra. At first, it was really complicated. I started to get the hang of it today. Now, it does not seem that hard but, I know I still have a long way to go before I will understand it. In class, we did games like a contest to see who could solve an algebra problem the fastest. It was pretty fun but, sadly, my team lost. I don’t do as good with math when I am being timed. Usually in class, we have little warm ups where we write an answer on a whiteboard and she tells us if it’s correct, After that, we get time to math homework and I usually get it all done during class which leaves me a lot of time at home for other stuff and other homework. Sometimes math can be fun but, sometimes it can be boring. It is usually fun for me in Mrs. Resnick’s class because we don’t have to do everything in a book. That is pretty much what this weeks math class looked like and I hope there are more good weeks to came.

I am glad to hear that math isn’t always “boring” for you. 🙂 Keep up the good work!

    Dear Elior,
This post is very interesting and I think you and I share a lot in common (Other than the fact that were brothers). For instance both you and I had trouble at the start, but as we continued to practice both of us became better at algebra.

Wow Elior that was a really good math blog. I really liked how you explained how to do it. I also think the same way as you.
