I asked a man what it was like in the 1700s and He answering them right now.  I should get back to the interview!

Me- So, I have five questions for you and you have to answer them.

Me- So, were you in the North or South When you were a slave back then?

Slave-I was part of the North.

Me- Do you feel lucky that you were part of the North instead of the South?

Slave- Why yes! I bought my freedom and got my family back.

Me- Why do you feel lucky that you were part of the North instead of the South?

Slave-  I feel lucky because in the South you couldn’t buy your freedom at all.  You had to work on big plantations and some people had to work day and night.

Me- Did yo enjoy playing on the instruments while yo uworked?

Slave- Yes I did I loved playing on the drums,bonjos.

Me- How old are you?

Slave- I am 3712 years old.

Me- How does it feel to be free?

Slave- It feels great.
