Dear ——-,
I have been told that you have problems with other kids. That is totally not good! Anyways, I came up with some things to help you. Since you feel left out, I think that when you ask to join them, they might say yes. If they say no, I would say “Fine” and go ask somebody to play with you. If you are not in that situation but somebody else is, I would ask them to join you. If they say no, at least you did the right thing.

Very good thoughts. I wish people wouldn’t hurt other people. It is so unkind. Why do you think people do this?
Dear Mrs.Zavon,
I feel the same way. I want to know why people do this to each other. It is very unkind, I agree. I think people do it because maybe a family member died or his/her parents are divorced or they feel bad about themselves. I read a fiction book about a kid who is a bully in his class who’s parents are divorced. I’ll try to bring it in on Friday.
Great blog post! Did you bring the book in today? You can add it to your Shelfari Shelf if you think it is a good resource.
Maybe you can be one of the first students to create a 2-minute “Community of Kindness” video? I’m encouraging teachers, students, parents – anyone who cares about making our school and synagogue a safer, happier place – to make their own to join the two we’ve made so far. What do you think?
Keep on blogging!
