Creative Tricks for Learning the Four Types of Pronouns

All of the middle schoolers have been reviewing common and proper nouns for the last two weeks.  We have also been learning about pronouns.  Most of the students were familiar with the basic pronouns, often referred to as “personal pronouns”, but were unfamiliar with interrogative, relative, indefinite, and demonstrative pronouns.  We spent the last two weeks learning these new types of pronouns and going over several examples in class.  The seventh graders have been creating different projects to share with the rest of the middle schoolers to help remember these types of pronouns.  Their finished products will hopefully be ready to share next week.

We will be learning about proper comma usage next.  Then, we will continue to work on pronouns and learn the other types known as intensive, reciprocal and reflexive pronouns.
