Grades are Based on the Following Kinds of Assignments:
*All work should be corrected to learn from mistakes—preferably in color to be easily discerned from original answers/ and, in some cases, additional points may be added upon effective corrections
OK—indicates corrected and ready to be placed in notebook; +1. +2, or +3 under OK, indicates additional points given to original grade for quality corrections
Daily Work—Single count grade for skills work, in class or for homework —percentage grade given

Single count grade—(used for quick-turn in assignments or to indicate level during process of rewrites or expected follow-up):
Check plus plus -100 %
Check plus -85%
Check-75%
Check minus -65%
Quiz Grades—announced or unannounced in-class skills or writing
check ups—double count grade
Test Grades—triple count grade:
Formal tests–always announced well in advance of test day and well-reviewed in class
Projects—in or out of class usually accompanied by rubric or in-class direction and projected due date
Major writing assignment—in or out of class; usually a formal final assignment completed after multiple steps in the writing process and multiple evaluations and rewrites
