Have you ever tried out for a team and they said that you are too young? Well that is what it was like for African American.  They were not allowed to do anything with the white people. Some Blacks, like Satchel Paige, were very talented at sports, but they were prohibited from playing in the white league. So they started their own league. They worked hard to improve their team and someday things would change. Someday they would all be looked at as a equal.
