Fourth and fifth graders really enjoyed a visit from JEA. They learned all about current electricity and static electricity. We learned how to make a circuit, or pathway, for the electricity to flow through. We all got quite a “thrill” after the flow of electricity passed through all of us. The students learned the difference between non-renewable resources and renewable resources. They also learned all about the different types of light bulbs that are on the market and which ones are more energy efficient. The highlight of the visit was when each child was able to experience the “static” electricity with their own hair. Check out our great pictures below!
