You should go to Tree Hill if you havn’t had the chance to experience learning about the outdoors. I loved hiking through the woods and even though I am a teacher, I did learn new facts! I did not know the difference between a hawk’s nest and a squirrel’s nest. I did not know that the water in the swamp has ben there since the beginning oof time. What are some facts that you learned about the great outdoors?

Today I went on a field trip to Tree Hill. I went on a hike, and I am going to tell you three things I learned.
1. When there are white spots on your tree, it means that you are breathing fresh air.
2. The tongues on woodpeckers spread out and they cover its brain, like an airbag, so they don’t get a headache.
3. Woodpeckers peck in a straight line to use less energy.
I went to the giftshop and got butterfly wings, a glass flower, and an iron on Tree Hill patch. It was really fun!
I learned that poison ivy lives in swamps.
