Our class is practicing drawing solid figures and polygons. What is your favorite solid figure to draw? If you were going to design your favorite chair, what shape would it be? Get ready in Seminole Swamp tomporrow to create a geometric chair designed by you! Are you up to the challenge? Perhaps, your creation will be displayed in MOCA someday!

My favorite solid figure to draw is a cone. If I was going to design an oversized chair it would be a rectangular prism. I am up for the challenge to design it tomorrow.
My favorite solid figure to draw is a cube. The shape of my chair would be a heart or a star. Yes, I am up for the challenge.
My favorite solid figure to draw is the cube. If I were to design a chair it’s shape would be an oval.
My favorite shape to draw is a cube. My chair would be more than one shape. They would be a pyramid, a rectangular prism, a sphere and a rounded off cone.
My favorite solid figure to draw is a cube. I would like to create a chair in the shape of a upside down pyramid and a rectangular prism on the back.
My favorite geometry shape to draw is a cone. If I were to design a chair the shape would be a half sphere. I’m definitely up for the challenge!
Another great learning adventure at your school. I love to draw all the geometric shapes. I really like the chair design challenge. I’m going to try it next time I sit down to draw. Also, I recently visited the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and they have many interesting chairs on display. If I use this project next year, I think I’ll use Google’s Museum tour page and have students search for chair designs to inform their work.
p.s. I shared your “Quality Commenting” blog with my students this week. They loved it. They were curious about your school. Have a great week.
Dear Mrs. Devlin, Our class had a great time designing all the chairs. Hopefully, we will be able to post them on the blog. How did you find us? Where are you from? We are going to look at the tour page!
My favorite solid figure to draw is a cube. It also is my favorite shape in the whole wide world!!!

My favorite solid figure is a sphere, cylinder, pyramid, cube, cone and rectangular prism.
My favorite chairs shape would be a cylinder and pyramid.
I think geometric shapes are hard to create. But if you try you can make your own polygon.
