Good Idea from Parents in Seminole Swamp

When I am checking homework, I see that Ben and Savonnie are always checking their homework blog. Their parents have printed the blog and the children keep it in their homework folder. I would suggest printing two copies. One for the refrigerator and one for your student to keep. Also a great suggestion from a parent was for me to let the students know if anything changes, so they can make adjustments to their copy.  Does anyone have any other tips about keeping track of homework. I know that we all have hectic scedules, but I do suggest reading the Martin J. Gottlieb blog daily. Believe me, I have been there before and I completely understand everyone’s schedule, but you can help your student and keep yourself informed about the latest that is happening by reading the MJGDS website and by clicking on to the third grade website. I spend a lot of time trying to keep my parents and students updated daily. As a team, we can conquer everything and anything together for the success of our children!

Thanks for the helpful suggestions! Your emails have always had such great information, but I’ll make an effort to check the blog daily now too.
Have a great night – see you at the concert!

My kids just grab my iPhone nightly. I honestly couldn’t keep up without it! We do, however, print out the spelling words so my two can quiz each other. I cut and paste the words onto a blank screen, so I can get two copies on one sheet, thereby saving paper. I also print it on the unused blank side of notices I would otherwise throw out, thereby recycling paper.

We’ve also used the two-copy technique (one for fridge, one for child) and have found it invaluable!

  3. I copy the homework off the blog into a word document and print it out. I show it to Zach so he will know what is expected of him or if there are any changes. Sometimes he tells me the changes. I find the blogs very helpful and informative. I feel like I am in the class! Thanks for the blog posts!

    Hello!
Good evening! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! The weather has been beautiful!
I am passing along the message about reading the “BLOG” and having your child and you respond to the blog! I have found the blog to be helpful in knowing what the 3rd grade class is doing on a daily basis. I like that the parents are included. I have found the blog to be an indispensable tool. We have incorporated it into Zach’s homework routine. Aslo, I like that we can all learn from each other. Knowledge is power!
    Thanks for reading!
