Today we had a wonderful Tu B’Shvat. We palnted in our courtyard.
As part of our study of Tu B’Shvat we have been learning about plants and fruits. We are busy writing our tree books. So far we have created a cover page and written about where our tree grows. We will be adding a page each day until we are finished. This is a wonderful opportunity to work on our writing skills, vocabulary review, and creative writing skills ( a first this year!) In addition to reading and writing about trees and fruits we are (happily) eating them! Yesteday we ate fruit pies. Today we ate dried fruit. We will be making and eating fruit salad also.
Our Torah study is moving along beautifully! We are now studying chapter 2 of the book of Bereshit. This week we read about the Garden of Eden and the trees God placed in the Garden.
We are working our way through the Ashrei one line at a time.
