It is Kislev and Chanuka is on the way! In class we are studying the history and the traditions of the holiday. We have a special storybook that teaches the story of Chanuka and we are reading it everyday!
We have also begun a new book on reading – Derech Chochma. It is a blue paperback book. Please encourage your child to read each night at home! Sign for them to recieve a bonus.
We are continuing to send “My Weekly Sidra” every Friday. It is a homework assignment to read over the parsha with a parent each weekend. We hope that you are enjoying sharing your child’s comments.
WOW are we enjoying our SmartBoard lessons! What a great way to review Torah!!!
On the Monday we return from Thanksgiving, November 29th, we will be making chanukiyot for Chanukah. If you would like to help us please let us know!
